What is Adapted Gymnastics?: This program is designed to cater to athletes with disabilities that are interested in the sport of gymnastics. The main aims of the Adapted Gymnastics program is to provide adapted programming and inclusive spaces within Calgary and its satellite communities. LIGHT Gymnastics is committed to continuing to learn and incorporate best practices, through further staff education, partnerships with disability-focused organizations, and community feedback.

Adapted Gymnastics

This program is to provide participants that require more support to learn gymnastics, mirroring the CanGym progressions used throughout all of  our Recreational Gymnastics Programs. This program is for participants with lower support needs, but still need accommodations along the lines of smaller group sizes, breakdowns of skills, shorter class times, and more visual aids. The class ratio would be between 4:1 and 6:1 participants to coach. There is a requirement that the participant does NOT need 1:1 support. If 1:1 support is needed, we recommend participants register for the Adapted Movement program.

Pricing: One (1) Class per week (55 Minute Class) - $100/Month
